Six former members of the U.S. Congress are hearing testimony this week on the existence of alien life forms as part of a documentary film being produced by Paradigm Research Group, an organization that lobbies for alien research.

Wait … what? Aliens have lobbyists?

Absolutely …

They’ve got money, too, as this group is shelling out $20,000 in cold hard cash to one former Michigan lawmaker for her attendance at the weeklong conference – which is being held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Hmmmmm … so there’s hope for  Mark Sanford yet …

Anyway, Paradigm’s primary objective is to get the federal government to end its “truth embargo of the facts surrounding an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race.” And while that effort (obviously) hasn’t met with success, the group did manage to pry a statement out of the administration of Barack Obama.

“The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race,” a White House spokesman said in response to an online petition pushed by the group. “In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public’s eye.”

Well that settles it then, right?

Ever listen to Coast-to-Coast radio (WVOC) overnight, and nationwide?

It’s a stream of the most delusional nutjobs on Earth…(in other words your average liberal)…

While FITS ignorantly attacks a thoughtful, supported, theory as a conspiracy…these leftwing kooks debate the brainwashing properties of entrails (from commercial jets) and W’s campaign to hide evidence of Chupa-cabra…

What’s funny: they all thought Obama was going to open the files and reveal all the alien visits…but all Obama did was ground the space program (so now we an’t prove we came from Mars) and tell us how Americans must worship Islam’s contribution to aeronautics..

Of course these loco-weeds think Tutankhamen was a bona-fide space traveler, so propping up Egypt is some consolation…

Anyway: I get a big belly laugh, even though I’m pretty thin, from listening to these leftwing loony-tunes…you should tune in…

I am beginning to understand BigT/GrandTango’s problem. Not only does he have a reading comprehension problem, but a hearing comprehension problem as well, if he thinks Coast-to-Coast is a forum for liberals.

Granted, I have not listened since I retired from delivering the morning papers when Art Bell was the host, but. . . . .

Yes, all liberals believe there are cities made of glass on Mars, and keep a look-out for Chupacabra scat.

I believe the Koreshan Unity agricultural commune in Ft. Myers, Florida, 100 years ago were “hollow earthers.” There is a state park there now named after them. The “Koreshan” part is somehow distantly related to the last name of Jim Koresh.

You weren’t mashing up the People’s Temple’s Jim Jones with the Branch Davidian’s David Koresh, by any chance? With the exception of Big T/ Grand Tanga (presumably T’s Tagalog name….), we posters at FITS try to run a tight factual ship.

*** Ducks at a loud nearby clap of thunder****

If David Koresh was linked to this Koreshinsanity Hollow Earth movement…..he must have not gotten the memo about celibacy!

Which reminds me ———–

The president of Mars sent an expedition to Venus, from which they were to return in two years.Three years later the Martians returned to give their report.

Explaining their delay, the Martian commander says to the president, “You know that we Martians have four arms and each arm has six hands. The Venusians have six arms and each arm has eight hands. Well, we spent the first year shaking hands!”

Going by my own experience (friends, family, co-workers), I have found that most “believers” in these conspiracy theories about aliens lean rather hard to the right more-so than left. It still doesn’t lead me to believe that ALL “believers” are conservative.

As a matter of fact, I don’t believe that ALL conservatives or ALL liberals really agree on any one thing. I consider myself to be fiscally conservative and socially liberal (or, in your extreme vernacular, between a bleeding-heart and a fascist).

What I do believe is that ANYONE who would start a thread by broadly demonizing a whole group of people on such a narrow subject isn’t really looking for an intelligent conversation but rather just wants to TELL everyone else what THE TRUTH is.

So, if you are privy to knowledge of how things actually are, would you tell us more? And please, don’t limit the conversation to “nutjob” topics. Clue us in on everything.

Rev. Angst (or is that really obama’s Rev. Wright?)You are like a VAST majority of liberals..you live in Denial of what your are and cower from it when called out. There is no question that the C2C audience caters to the far-left idiots.
A large share of the callers LOVE Obama, and they used to prophecy that W and Cheney would be frog-marched out of the White House, shortly after inauguration.
I am a solid Conservative, and I find the show offensive, but hilarious. It’s so politics-based. I think WVOC can present it as ‘balance’ to the highly profitable and popular Rush and Beck shows.
Richard C. Hogland, a C2C regular kook, says we’re covering up evidence of a man-made face on the moon. He LOVES Obama, and craps all over himself, twisting truth, trying to blame Republicans that Obama dismantled NASA, to his chagrin….

Well, I’ve already stated that I am PARTIALLY liberal but, I guess if the one-drop rule applies to politics as it applies to skin color, then I’m all liberal. No point in denying it, nor would I try. Nor am I in any way cowering. OR, maybe I really have no idea what those words mean and that’s exactly what I am doing.
I’ve never once listened to C2C but, am well aware of it’s existence. Am I less of an idiotic liberal (since you’ve already decided that’s what I am) because I don’t put much, if any, faith in the conspiracy theories espoused on the show?

Or am I just an idiot because I have ANY SORT of belief in a few (though far from all) liberal policies? I am also not judging anyone on labels placed on them by themselves or others. What I am saying is that if someone were to do such a thing (place judgement on a person or group of people based on one or two words in a post) than maybe that person is just a bit closed-minded and self-rightious.

BTW, I am not an Obama fan. What do you make of that?

Also curious how you made the jump from me being a reverend to me somehow having ANYTHING at all to do with the (also self-rightious ) Rev. Wright. Can you stay on topic long enough to explain that one to me?

Contrails are a stupid conspiracy theory. I say this as one who believes that JFK was murdered by the Military Industrial Complex as well as being a believer in petroleum abiogenesis..

hmmmm….looks like those black helicopters are flying closer to my home than usu

All ya gotta do is go to youtube and type in “ufo” and voila’, thousands of self made videos pop up with all sorts of shit cruising around the atmosphere that no one can identify.

Are some of the videos fake? Yes. Are they all fake? Doubtful.
