I feel sorry for him, I pity him, but underneath this bout of humble pie is a self-absorbed braggart, making this bid for all the wrong reasons. Let him be a success in his new life, with his reportedly adoring mistress turned wife, in a new out-of-the-public eye job. That will be a real test of his talents! This is his time to lead that “authenticate” life he’s been hankering for; not re-enter that “false” world of politics where his attempts at legislation were muddled at best even during those periods when his credibility was highest.

Sanford has described himself as a “wounded warrior”. What happened? Was it an IED? Gunshot? Mortar round? How serious were the injuries? Was he awarded the Purple Heart? We all wish this brave warrior a speedy and complete recovery, and we pray for the safe return of Michael Haley and all of Sanford’s comrades in arms.

Yes, Mark dealt with his personal life poorly in front of the public. And, the most and only people hurt were his family and friends. It will be the people of SC who are hurt if leaders with his poetical acumen are put out to pasture. His personal issues were between him and his lovely wife . They did not resolve their differences because or reasons known to them . In no way did he intentionally defraud any taxpayer of one dime. It’s simply impossible to dot every I and cross every T but they were pretty damn good at it. Sanford’s politics are spot on a great majority of the time. It’s his loss he doesn’t have His x wife’s efforts driving the train. But he’s the guy for the job and most know it deep down.

Spelling is not the only area that is challenging for you. Didn’t “intentionally defraud the taxpayers of one dime”? State plane use for personal folly, side trip to Argentina, other examples that are obvious, numerous, and equally intentional. You’re as stupid as Sanford is sleazy. How do you like his lie about being wounded as a warrior? When and where was he in combat?

Lance, his wounds were self-inflicted and my guess is that he was referring to what he said at the press conferences-how he hurt everyone and by doing that he hurt himself the most. Had to lick his wounds for awhile. Now that he is back, I do wonder if his ex’s wounds are healed yet.
