Great article Dianne! Exposing the velvet- glove marxist elitists and champagne socialists masquarading as conservatives needs to become amore common practice in this state. When Comrade Canker Phlegm starts carping about de-masking his fellow globalist communist revolutionaries, you know you are on the right path! Keep it up!
And there you have it, tyranny at its finest. Maybe it’s time to go bake to baking cakes. Want to know what’s wrong in the Republican Party? Here you go. Just do as our small group of extremists say. Don’t have your own opinion or research any other viable options. If you don’t do as we say, we would rather destroy the state. As RJ May exclaimed repeatedly, “Burn it down.”
Stop trying to force feed people with your burnt Bundt cakes and mandates. The SC Freedom Caucus is the last group to be about freedom, they simply want you to conform to their ideology. This lady is not about free market capitalism. You want to tell a company what policies they use to manage their billions in investment in a company they built. Hang on before you talk about state incentives. Do you like working at BMW, VOLVO, BOEING, MERCEDES SPRINT, and on and on. Do you like the 42,000 jobs that BMW provides with their suppliers or $27 BILLION annually to the economy. Those investments went primarily to the sites and will stay at the site forever or into training workers. Do the people in Fairfield and Kershaw counties not deserve higher paying jobs bc you now want to control how a company manages its’ own policies?
She is a radical tyrant. Actually, she is from up north. If you don’t like SC, go home. Force feeding policy never works. One side gets their way on an issue. Next election they lose and it is all undone. Back and forth, one step forward and two steps back. Why not have civil debate where all views are on the table and the only requirement is the best possible solution. I am so sick and tired of I am going to take my ball and go home. These people should have been spanked as children. They want to burn it all down. I dub them all “POLITICAL ARSONISTS.”
I can tell you really spent time on this lackluster personal attack — it’s apparent your views were decided prior to reading the article. However, in the spirit of having a civil debate, let’s breakdown some of your choice statements:
1. “This lady is not about free market capitalism. You want to tell a company what policies they use to manage their billions in investment in a company they built. Hang on before you talk about state incentives. Do you like working at BMW, VOLVO, BOEING, MERCEDES SPRINT, and on and on.”
I wasn’t aware that tax credits, grants and subsidies fall into the category of “free market capitalism.” However, I’m sure the caveat you added can be supported by economic theory and isn’t just useful for your strawman argument. If your main concern is a free market economy then you would agree that subsidies, tax credits and grants are not necessary for FDI. However, if you are not a free market purest then I would hope you could see the irony in this holier-than-thou statement.

When you approach a conversation from such a micro level, you completely miss the bigger picture. A better question would be “Does the benefit to Fairfield and Kershaw counties justify the added cost to taxpayers and the distribution of wealth from one county to the next. Or does SC’s method of attracting FDI create material barriers to entry that affect the overall states ability to have a society based on free market capitalism.” While FDI is one of the most supportive forms of capital, that does not mean that all FDI and the negative externalities shouldn’t be questioned. That would be more of a stance a radical tyrant would take. Companies often relocate operations to take advantage of either cheaper labor, differences in legal requirements, incentives offered or for horizontal and verticals integration. SC has one of (if not the) highest concentration of FDI related jobs, I’ll let you pick the rational for why that is but most educated people would agree that it’s not because of SC’s “free market” policies.

Nothing here of substance to debate but it’s also worth noting the irony of you trying to paint someone as a petulant child just because you don’t agree with their viewpoints. What’s the saying — people in glass houses?
Anyways, I’m sure you will read this with an open mind and respond with logic and substance, instead of personal attacks. All the best!
Kudos to Diane Hardy and her excellent article on SC’s wokeism. With slender tentacles from the UN’s agenda, this supposedly “red state” is being changed by inside and outside forces to complete a project that most hard-working Americans have no idea about, and if they dug into it deeper, would not want it.

Not this chick again. She could have saved a lot of words by just saying “Woke is stuff I don’t like.”
Misleading headline, too. Fizznews doing its worst as usual.
Are you a transgender?

You spelled her name wrong. What else did you miss?
“The Mom and Pop Alliance has been unable to get even a brief meeting with our Governor.”
Huh, it’s almost like you’re completely irrelevant!
Didn’t Mace use to be part owner of this blog?

Go Tigers
Wokeism has taken over Charleston. All the transplants from liberal states is the root cause.
Wokeism and transgenderism is even taught to children at Charleston County’s Public libraries. Sick and deranged
