I Know What I Saw June 2, 2025 at 10:56 am

I had rather read about the fall of Laurens County’s former county chairman Brown “Fatass” Patterson. He is blaming everybody under the sun for his being kicked out of his chairmanship except himself. He needs to think again. He pretty well fired himself.
Now he’s telling anybody that will listen that he is doing everything he can to make sure than every councilman that supported his ouster is beat in their next election. He’s actively recruiting people to run against these incumbents.
He needs to grow up and grow a set of balls to match that fat belly he carries around.
He also needs to be more concerned about the pictures of what looks like county employees working on his yard and driveway after Hurricane Helene. I don’t think that this is legal and was told these pictures cost the former county administrator his job. My neighbor got questioned about this and told the truth. Patterson is responsible and needs to admit it and shoulder some of the responsibility but he’s to much of a coward.

I would have never thought that the “power” of being the chairman of the Laurens County Council could go to someone’s head, but it sure looks like it did. Mr. Patterson needed to be knocked down a few pegs.

Yeah, this Brown Patterson kid is a genuine 100% PRICK. I was in middle school with him when he wagged his privates in the face of one of the sweetest little girls you’ll ever know. It really messed her up. He bragged to everybody that his mom was chairman of the school board and he was untouchable and he could even do it to the teacher if he wanted to. And you know what, nothing was done to him at all. He still thinks that he cant be touched. He’s the biggest baby that I know and I have known some pretty big crybabies.

Laurens County Employee June 10, 2025 at 12:21 pm

I work for Laurens County and was at last night’s council meeting. I just want to formally apologize to the people of Laurens County for the inexcusable comments of Councilman Brown Patterson. He had the audacity to refer to the citizens of our wonderful county as “idiots” and “stupid.”

If you would like to verify this, just watch the video of this meeting on either youtube or our new county council website.

His comments toward some of his fellow council members is always abominable.

He is incredibly bitter about his being removed as chairman, however he needs to move on from this position, for the citizens he is supposedly serving.

Fed Up With Patterson June 21, 2025 at 8:24 pm

Suffice it to say that I have been affiliated with the South Carolina Association of Counties for substantially over thirty years. In my tenure, I’ve never met such a difficult individual as Brown Patterson. He tried to have me removed from my position because I forgot to call him CHAIRMAN Patterson. Mr. Patterson didn’t work.

At last year’s conference he tried to have an employee fired because there was the slightest spot on Patterson’s name tag. He ranted and raved that “a man of his position” shouldn’t have to deal with such as a less than perfect nametag.

He also fired some exceptional career employees from Laurens County for no reason at all. He just wanted to enjoy this power trip that he’s on. I’m glad he is no longer council chairman.
