Lets make this as clear as we possibly can. Elon is not “saving” “us” or the American people one red cent. Elon has not found rampant fraud in the Social Security system. Elon is looking for money he can cut from the government budget (whether beneficial to the American people or not) so the government can afford to give tax cuts to billionaires and large multinational corporations. Elon would eliminate Social Security altogether if he could get away with it and get his tax cuts and his government contracts. Every single penny he alleges he can cut from the federal budget is going to tax cuts for billionaires. At the same time Elon is getting 8 million dollars a day from the Taxpayers and wants more. This is a total grift and has always been a grift.
Elon is worth $335 billion. Why does he need more? Right now, he’s pumping millions into the Wisconsin Supreme Court race.
Why?
Because Tesla has a lawsuit to open a Tesla owned store. Most states mandate dealer franchises instead of direct sales. Wisconsin is such a state that doesn’t allow direct sales.
Scout Motors, the EV manufacturer under construction near Blythewood, wanted state law modified to allow direct to consumer sales.
Ugh. It is so hard to even know where to start…just curious if you are aware that sometimes it takes a while for people to reveal themselves. Let’s use your Dear Leader as an example. You may not know enough about history to understand what Trump is going to do to the economy, but surely you know what Putin is going to do right? Trump was an amusing reality TV star and now he is a Russian asset. So should I scream “you’re fired!” and laugh about bankruptcies? Or worry about canceling the courts and controlling the media?
Sure, when Elon made cool electric cars he was palatable. For people who did not recognize he was a scam artist. Look at his first two contracts. But then when he became an oligarch who puppet masters the prez people started doubting him. Shocking!
He hasn’t found any fraud. But I get it. The best fraudsters rise on marks. And there is no shame in being a mark. Just own it and quit chirping at us.

Back when being a racist was a bad thing, the ACLU stood up for the right of the KKK to march in cities across the nation and spread their hate speech, because it was the right thing to do.
As for forcing our allies to pony up money for their defense, it is no longer our concern. We have no allies. Trump has bought us the privilege of being alone in the world. Hated, like Russia. Canada announced it is establishing new trade relations with China and Europe and that their shared economy and military cooperation with the US is at an end. Japan and South Korea (who hate the Chinese and were developing a strong treaty with us under Biden to increase defense spending to counter the growth of Chinese power in the South Pacific) just announced they would cooperate with China to counter US tariffs. NATO has been destroyed with Trump’s threat to attack a NATO member and the leaked Pentagon memo saying we would not defend Europe.
When you abandon your friends, they turn elsewhere. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. It will take a generation to repair the damage Trump has done to our standing in the world. In fact, we may never recover our standing in the world. And we will all suffer for it. Americans will no longer be welcomed by the free nations of the world. No longer seen as friends with shared goals. It is a shame. But MAGA got its way.
