Looking at Charleston County and the City of Charleston, too? CC Parks and Recreation, something fishy about how they operate.

Did Heyward also take in these bribes while being paid by Charleston County as a consultant? Hope that too is investigated!

Kinda like what occurred in Spartanburg around 2000 when Wyatt Development representatives bribed the Mayor, City Manager, City Council members and the District 6 Superintendent in order to have the former Dorman High School site rezoned. The site is now a 660,00 square foot strip shopping center known as Dorman Centre, a monument to urban sprawl with Wal-Mart, Home Depot and numerous retailers and fast food establishments. Significant money was doled out by the developer in order grease the skids to accomplish the task. Local residents were misled and deceived by all involved. This could have been investigated by the legal authorities, but was ignored. Twenty five years later the development sits about three quarters occupied and has been sold at least three times. Emblematic of the poor leadership and even poorer vision of past officials.

There are mandated sentencing guidelines for federal crimes. And there are quite a bit of criminal acts here.

I suspect with the totality of things, this has roots that have run long and far beyond what we might think. This park deal with an agency known to be running wild and free from oversight raises my eyebrows. It is not wise to cover for anyone.

Karma is everywhere

There’s pride before a fall. I saw how he arrogantly treated that NCPD officer. Jerk.
