South Carolina is 2nd in the nation in DUI deaths. This has led to higher insurance premiums for bars….particularly bars where young folks drink extreme amounts of liquor, leave, and kill people.

The legislature’s suggestion? Pass “tort reform” and make it cheaper and more profitable to sell liquor in South Carolina.

You would think after that bride was killed at Folly Beach legislators would be thinking of ways to prevent these tragic event. Instead they are trying to figure out ways to make bars more lucrative. There is no question that the net effect of the proposed “tort reform” will be that South Carolina will have even more bars….and more families will lose loved ones. Anyone who votes for this insurance/liquor industry farce should have to attend some of the funerals next year.
