Great news buried at the end of this goofy blog post…

“ I have been unable to develop a vision for how my nieces and nephews can survive and thrive in the decades ahead…”

This guy isn’t raising any children of his own. The future will be fine. There will just be even less of an audience for grumpy white guy blogs. Should have found a better hobby.

Darwin be praised, the polluted gene pool gets cleaned up just a tiny bit.

You state that Republicans are doing nothing to stop your feared “Coming Dystopia” and “Shift to the Left.” I will tell you one simple thing that they could do. They could nominate for the Presidency someone other than a lying, cheating, adulterous, self-centered, anti-intellectual, bullying, braggart blowhard to represent their party, a man who appeals to the worst instincts of too many Americans and poisons the national discourse and mood. There are many Americans, myself included, who would vote for a moderate Republican who exemplifies decency, honesty, and integrity. As it stands now, I will vote against Trump and everything that he stands for.

DSS, I agree with most everything you said. I will vote for Trump because I am not going to let his individual shortcomings (and they’re big) stop me from supporting a candidate or party that has an official platform that I find unacceptable. His policies align more with my personal philosophy, but his presidency will not serve to bring people together. Unfortunately, neither would a Kamala Harris presidency.

I worded that poorly. I won’t let Trump allow me to support a progressive candidate, not stop me.

Really, and what personal policies are the ones you support? I don’t think Trump has a personal policy except what is good for Trump and the people who pay him money, revenge on his enemies, and demonizing gay people, Hispanics, and people from “Hasha” so like in Nazi Germany people will sit back and do nothing when he sends jackboots to put them in concentration camps.

Prioleau, how would your assessment of the political climate change if there was a dissolution of our current 50-state union?

Division of the USA is what Putin wants.

So you are a childless dog man? Why should we listen to you? As your would-be VP says. you are miserable and imposing your miserable life on the rest of us.

But, I definitely have a vision on how to keep my kid out of a Soviet Union-type hell, and that is don’t let Donald Trump anywhere near the White House, because a Soviet Union run by him is what he wants. He has absolutely zero “conservative principles.” He not only wants big government, he wants big government with one man making all the decisions and killing or imprisoning people who defy him. He really likes a guy to poisons his political enemies and pushes them out of windows.

As for who really wants to censor people, look to the guy who wants to shut down the free press and lock up real journalists. But here is just a sample.

“Donald Trump said he will meet with media mogul Rupert Murdoch and urge him not to allow negative ads against the Republican nominee or provide airtime to his critics on Fox News in the final stretch before Election Day,” Bloomberg reports.

Said Trump: “I’m going to tell him something very simple because I can’t talk to anybody else. Don’t put on negative commercials for 21 days. Don’t put them and don’t put on — they’re horrible people. They come and lie.”

Drunkle will be out of a job, his insane rantings could easily be reproduced by AI. The only way an algorithm could mess it up is if it sounded too coherent by accident.

Keep writing, E. Prioleau Alexander. There are those who “see” what most cannot, and you are one of them. Your description of our future under the rule of absolute insanity is not an if, it is a matter of when. I grieve for our children.

Another grave prediction:

“World War III is Already Underway. Not that Harris or Trump has noticed.

So if WWIII is already underway, it is more important than ever that we strengthen our NATO alliances, and our alliances with our supporters in the Far East i.e. Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Australia, Taiwan, Singapore, and hopefully our old enemy, Vietnam. We know that will not happen with Trump as President as he is clearly on the side of Russia, N. Korea, and China.

Common sense needs to prevail. We need to crush Russia in Ukraine. Make them use up their army and crush their economy. The best way to avoid WWIII is to be in the strongest military alliances, with the largest economies in the world. China needs our markets and without Russia to back them up the will likely not challenge the West. Trump would throw all of that away for whatever Putin has promised him.
