The Sheriff didn’t do anything wrong.
Karma! I guess what went around is coming back around for his yearly “Operation Government Theft” or whatever he calls it where his and other departments use bullshit traffic stops to seize vehicles and other property from citizens. Good show!
He was able to do his training because the academy director Jackie Swindler does whatever chiefs and sheriffs want. Swindler was totally unqualified for the job he has. His claim to fame was that he was the chief of the tiny newberry police department. He was chosen by the training council, made up of chiefs and sheriffs, for the job over a former FBI academy leader whose main job was training law enforcement. That should tell anyone with sense that there is no interest in modernized training and all they want is to maintain the status quo
Why don’t these Clowns leave Chuck Wright alone, and let him continue to do his job WELL! My Grandfather served as Spartanburg County Sheriff for 16 years, my Dad, his son. worked for him all of those 16 years and guess what, there was never a problem. In the 16 years my Grandfather served, there were a total of 2 unsolved murders, TWO. Sheriff Wight is doing a great job as well, these imbeciles should mind their business and let a great Sheriff alone, and I KNOW what a great Sheriff looks like.
