Solving the climate crisis isn’t profitable, of course no for-profit corporation would ever try to actually fix it. This is why carbon credit scams exist. Party A gets to pretend like they’re doing something so they don’t get regulated, Party B makes fat stacks selling the environmental equivalent of blinker fluid.
You can also see the government enforcing a captive market in the EV market by banning competition from out of the country. Same as it does with healthcare. Profit is all that matters.
Existing without generating profit is unlawful. Just as SCOTUS after their ruling on the homeless.
