A noble goal, achieving a fair and independent press. But how do you obtain it? 92% of journalist identify as Democrats. The mainstream media is totally bought in on the leftist agenda. A few outlets have a conservative lean, but there are very few. Loss of viewership or website hits/circulation might have a slight impact, but half the population has swallowed the leftist pill. While some are seeing the insanity of some of the left’s positions (the American College of Pediatricians recently called for halting gender affirming care for children), you still have leftists pushing their agenda. And perhaps the scariest thing is that much of the populace has become insouciant to the noise from both sides. It will be interesting to see what the next 5 months bring. There is much to undo and fix to return America to some semblance of sanity, while fighting a woke press and half the population.

Abortion is “health care”! – It is. Women have died or nearly died due to being refused due to legal grounds.
Two weeks to a cure! – I’ve no idea what this even means. I can only assume some dumb antivax crap.
The shot will prevent you from getting or giving COVID! – I mean, to a degree it might help, but that’s not what vaccines do. Vaccines shorten the response time for the greater part of the immune system, so that instead of waiting 10-14 days for your body to cobble together the cells needed to really whoop some virus butt, the wait time is much shorter and the response is far greater. The virus still has a time frame where it can invade the body and start reproducing, and yes, spreading. This is true with tons of vaccines. Always has been.
Israelis are NAZIs! – Israel is an apartheid state. It isn’t unfair for people who sympathize with the Palestinian people to label what is happening in Israel as a genocide. While what Nazi Germany did was on orders of magnitude worse that does not absolve Israel of its responsibility of killing civilian Palestinians, nor does it erase some parallels that actually do exist. Human history is littered with governments/peoples committing human rights abuses towards others, and being the victim of those abuses doesn’t cure your descendants of perpetrating the same crimes.
They’re banning books! – Yeah, the rest of society is rolling their eyes at your “but acktshually Florida isn’t banning books technically” defense of DeSantis’ book bans. Especially after you guys got all bent out of shape at the idea that a few Dr Seuss books would cease printing, voluntarily.
They killed people on 6 January! – People were assaulted and some died. They were actively chanting death threats to the Vice President, a Republican. One woman had to be shot because she was attempting to climb past a barricade. Way to downplay the hatred and violence. What are you trying to accomplish?
We’re reducing the deficit! – I mean Reaganomics will continue to do its thing, but Trump generated some absolutely massive deficits that have gotten a little bit better managed.
The wealthy don’t pay their fair share! – In pretty much every conceivable way, they don’t. But in terms you might be more willing to accept, the rich have far more influence over the political landscape than you or I will ever have in a million lifetimes, but they seemingly choose to continue pushing our systems in the same direction, because it directly enriches them to do so. Of all the people in the entire nation they are the most OK with the amount of debt we have, the failing of markets and government aid in regards to various sectors of the economy, etc. if it means their numbers go up. Without a doubt, if that is what it takes to make billionaires make billions more, to impoverish the “greatest nation on earth”, I think they owe something back to the people and the country they bankrupt. This isn’t a hard concept. Most people realize why guys like Bernie Madoff are scum. All it takes is realizing a lot of the rich are Bernie Madoffs in their own right.
All of this is why civility in politics doesn’t work anymore. There is no finding “common ground” with someone who has become anti-vax, pro-book ban, and outright denying news in regards to J6 we can clearly read for ourselves. People reach these positions due to bad actors and become bad actors themselves when they proliferate them. It’s a shame. I don’t expect to change your mind on anything, but I’ll be damned if I let your words go unchallenged.

I will grant that there are times when an abortion is necessary for the health of the mother or when the child isn’t viable but according to Guttmacher, less than 15% of all abortions fall into the categories; “health of mother or baby” (<10%) "rape" (<1%) "incest" (<1/2 of 1%) – the VAST majority are done as a form of birth control and there are far safer and more costs effective methods of birth control available.
