Bad Bond, Death On The Tracks, Constitutional Carry Debate – Week In Review 2/10/2024

News and notes …

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

South Carolina’s scandal-ravaged criminal justice system took it on the chin again this week as an outgoing judge demonstrated why he continues to be the “poster robe” when it comes to doling out excessive leniency for violent offenders.

It was a bad week for soon-to-be-retired judge Bentley Price on another front, too … one that could soon mushroom into multiple cases of interest for our audience.

Stay tuned for much more on all of that in the weeks to come …

In other news, our research director Jenn Wood updated us on the latest developments in “Death on the Tracks” – the unsolved 2018 murder of Daniel Reed “DJ” Smith. This is just one of several stories we are following as part of our ‘Unsolved Carolinas‘ series.

Finally, our Dylan Nolan continued digging deep on the issue of permit-less carry – or “constitutional carry” – as this gun rights legislation took some wild turns at the S.C. State House.

Thanks again to everyone for tuning in this week and please remember, your support drives everything we do here at FITSNews. I appreciate Dylan Nolan’s coverage of the Constitutional Carry effort in The Legislature. In addition to the Senate, Henry McMaster appears to be another potential obstruction to Constitutional Carry as he kowtows to the police state.

We are so thankful for the fits family for putting Daniel’s story out there and following us through the process for Justice! You are have so much compassion for families that have not been able to get justice because of so much corruption.
We would never be where we are without you all!? We know we have an army behind us now!

We would love to have him here but will see him again one day! Until then we will continue the fight and his name will never be forgotten! ?
