Glad someone is following this because it seemed off the table for a long time. Obviously PMPED paid out a lot of claims and has a discovery incentive but only the feds claw back overseas laundered $. Why doesn’t anyone seem to know exactly what bad investments Murdaugh made that caused the cash flow problem at the PSB? Wouldn’t his law partners know? Inquiring minds, etc, etc,
What “business partners” traveled with him on these journeys? And if he was hiding cash, exactly how long had he been plotting the murder of his family? Based on his desperation, I don’t believe there is hidden cash. For the victim’s sake, I truly hope that I am wrong. And, has anyone been able to identify how Dick & Jim are getting paid? That would answer a big question or questions. Wasn’t there some type of action in recent months that would force them to disclose that? Is it Daddy’s trust fund for Alex? Or is someone able to access potentially hidden funds? Anyone tracking Buster’s travels? So many questions, but one thing that is not in question-Alex absolutely murdered his family & he should never be a free man again.
Hiding the cash and plotting to murder his family did not have to be “equal timeline” events. He could have been hiding money for many years before the boat crash…there is anecdotal evidence from FITS both he, his father and their close associates were doing this. Murder could have been a last-ditch plan that fomented in the weeks before it happened. As to where money could be hid, consider first how vast the wetlands of SC and GA are – the ACE basin alone is over 350,000 acres. From there down to the GA sea islands is probably another 350k. Just that is over 1000 square miles. PVC pipes can be sealed watertight, ballasted, and sunk into the grassland muck in mere minutes in the dead of night, and then a geocoordinate is taken down for later retrieval. No metal detector can find it, and using ground penetrating radar in that kind of terrain is almost impossible.
