Thanks for covering this story Will. The local media around here are nothing more than partisan hacks. What passes for “news” these days used to be the standard content of the National Enquirer and Inside Edition.
Speaking of “Independence,” I would like to share a little story.
I just got back from accompanying a family member from being recognized by the Laurens County Hall of Heroes. These are some great and humble men and women. Before the ceremony, all of the honorees were talking. I said that I hope that my representative from Laurens County Council would be in attendance. One of the other recipients stated that Laurens County Council Chairman Patterson had ORDERED, YES ORDERED, that no members of Laurens County Council could attend. I thought that this can’t be right, but during the presentation, the master of ceremonies asked all Laurens County Council members to be recognized, and NOT ONE was there.
Why does Brown Patterson truly despise veterans so much? And, why do other council members let him tell them where they can/can’t go?
I hope that they are all removed from office as soon as possible.
Great coverage. Unfortunately, most mainstream media outlets outlets are highly partisan & try to pick winners & losers. I can’t help but think of the suppression of Hunter Biden’s laptop & other nefarious dealings of the Bidens, Obamas, & Clintons in both the 2016 and 2020 elections. It’s all about “get Trump”-still is.
I am not surprised by this. Honestly seems that WYFF, WSPA and Fox seem to have different priorities of what is considered news. I’m seriously tired of hearing about lottery winners, which is covered weekly, if not sometimes daily. Sometimes front page headlines are national news stories that are irrelevant and could be down towards the bottom of the page.
