Yeah, but in many fatal police encounters, the fatalaties occurred because their Tasers were totally ineffective on the suspect, resulting in escalation of violence due to the failure of the Tasers to perform. Other than fancy shmancy camera stuff, has anything been done to increase reliability of these devices in actual deployments?
If not, sounds like a bunch of taxpayer money down the toilet for nothing.

Are you by chance an Axon employee or shareholder? A state government official who is getting kickbacks from this massive deal? While they have come in handy when they happen to work, stories where things went South when the Tasers failed to immobilize a violent suspect are far from uncommon.
