FITS is complaining a free market “champion” is gonna take the big bucks and shill?

I think we all need to bring Will to an intervention and calmly but firmly explain, this is not crony capitalism. This is just capitalism. Capitalists own the means of production, they utilize it to amass wealth at the expense of labor, they use the wealth to control government and solidify control over their money making scam. You can be a true-believing disciple for this system if you want but that only means you are standing shoulder to shoulder with the people directly responsible for the corrupting influences on state power. You’re standing with your toes right at that line, it is only a baby step to cross it.

And, to be honest, I don’t believe any right winger who claims to be upset by him shilling for Google of all people. Just because the right has made “Big Tech” their target of ire doesn’t mean that the right is fundamentally opposed to the consolidation of power in an industry by corporate overlords. I’m sure Big Tech is plenty shady but the right wing who has famously taken huge bribes from Big Oil, Big Tobacco, etc. is only upset at Big Tech because maybe they’re “woke” (read: liberal), or maybe they’re censoring flat out misinformation from the right, etc. You aren’t really upset about things that matter, like personal data being sold.

It’s like when Republicans cut up their Nikes because of Colin Kaepernick, and were suddenly “concerned” about sweatshop labor. Your outrage is as fake as your news.

Also, a reminder that FITS has been accused of shilling for Howard Rich and Donald Trump for years.
