I feel dumber just from reading that.
My EV is quiet and powerful and gets its charge from my solar panels which generate enough clean energy to send excess back to the Duke Energy grid. I’m not suggesting that EV’s are the answer for everyone but if you’ve ever driven one, then you might change your mind. It’s like going from the old massive mobile phones that sat under the driver seat to an iPhone. Besides some EV batteries will be made in SC and most are made here in the US.
Try one out! You might be surprised. Btw, I’ll be the first to get an electric truck when they do come out. I pull heavy loads and need the power.
Anonymous, you go get that electric truck and drive it on up here to northern Minnesota. We’ll see how long it lasts through the winter in snow, ice and frigid temps. You won’t be able to keep your windshield clear enough to drive safely. And your batteries can’t generate enough heat to keep you warm for long if stranded in a snowstorm. One month into winter with a hybrid EV (gas/electric) was enough for me to dump that vehicle and return to my Yukon XL.
Hmmm. I’m not sure that makes sense. I have a new Toyota Hybrid truck in addition to my Tesla EV (thank you Trump and the Republican Party for the tax breaks you gave the upper income taxpayers) and the Internal Combustion Engine works fine. The battery provides a boost of power so that the V 6 engine is able to tow a load as handily as my Chevy one ton diesel but with less and cheaper regular gas. Just sayin.
When I lived in Wisconsin, any sort of electronic device barely worked when it was -50 degrees. Glad you can afford an EV, but a good majority of the population can’t. The battery life is also pretty dismal and when they die, prepare to fork over five-figures for a new one.
Prioleau Alexander is my new favorite author! Awesome description of the stunted growth of an entire generation and those that exploit their ignorance, gullibility and fear. Poor things need designated safe spaces so as not to get their feelings hurt.
In short, Mr. Alexander refuses to acknowledge that millions died in the US due to the gross incompetence of the Trump administration and the unwillingness of the GQP to listen to “science”, something they surely do NOT believe in (and probably failed in school). The rest is the usual litany of “talking points” aka right-wingnut propaganda. Yawn. And more god-awful writing from Drunkle. No wonder his books don’t sell and he’s reduced to pimping himself out for Fits. What a way to make a living.

Question – how much was your EV, and how much will the battery replacement cost?

Why does it matter that batteries will be made in South Carolina?

Drunkle’s venture into lecturing whipper snappers about pretend worlds…
HCQ as a treatment for covid? Check.
Sleepy dementia patient Joe is incompetent even though he’s got a “crime family” and “stole” the election? Check.
Doesn’t understand science when it comes to climate change, but still claims AGW doesn’t exist? Check.
You don’t need 5G nanochips to figure out this guy lost a few too many brain cells.
By far, one of my favorite columns from Prioleau.
Great column Prioleau. You won’t find an argument here. In fact, I’m going back to read it again it was so good.

Spot on, as always, Mr. Alexander. Reality in this world today, even our country, is so refreshing. Don’t go changing.
