And the concerns about SC’s athletic programs are legit. Only the names change, the results never do. There’s something about the core of USC football that remains broken not matter who the HBC is.

We’ve long suffered a “bowl trip to Shreveport is a great season” mentality for too long. Hell, we couldn’t even cheat better than Clemson before NIL. As long as we sell out the stadium, hire baseball coaches instead of ADs, and bow to political pressure we’re never going to be more than a .500 team.
Last time I checked, Clemson’s Lord Savior/HBC wasn’t exactly getting it done either. Don’t know whose image he’s made the Tigers into this year, but it ain’t Jesus and it ain’t a winning football program.

Dabo has learned that ignoring the transfer portal is a mistake. I bet you’ll see a whole list of new players next year who came from the portal. Just another way NIL has ruined college sports. As long as I see 2-5 Rattler driving around in his $200,000 Mercedes G-Wagon all is expected to be fine.

If Staley and her wife ever leave Columbia USC might as well look into MIT’s athletic department operations because that’ll be the level of talent you’ll see.
