Seven f- – – k – -g years is NOTHING! An atrocity. Should have been a minimum of 20. White color crime does pay, folks. Palmetto State Bank should have been shut down. The lack of oversight is shocking. All I can say is the the people still banking there must be real deal southern dumb asses.

7 years is a long time and my heart goes out to his children. I keep going back to something Russell Lafitte’s father said when questioned about the loans to Murdaugh & the crazy amount he owed the bank. He essentially said he would have approved whatever the Murdaugh’s wanted. This was generational & we don’t know what we don’t know. Yes, Russell Lafitte is a grown man & certainly accountable, but the sins of the father (or fathers) set the proverbial stage.

You proved my point perfectly. Nothing will change until attitudes like yours continue.
