Justice … finally. Murdaugh and Parker thought more about their money than they ever did Mallory Beach or anyone else. Would love to see a boycott of Parker’s liquor off sales to send a message … a very strong message that alcohol sales to minors will NOT be tolerated and they are financially responsible for negative outcomes if they do.
Whatever happened to Paul Murdaugh’s pants, wallet and Buster Murdaugh’s ID that he used to purchase the alcohol? Why was John Murdaugh allowed to remove the boat from the crime scene prematurely? That whole investigation still needs to be investigated … perhaps it has and I’ve missed a final report.
Where did the extra name benefiting from this courthouse piracy come from? I thought the only persons in the boat that night were Paul Murdaugh, his girlfriend, Beach, and her boyfriend. The Murdaugh estate should have been the only one to pay as they were absolutely at fault on several levels. The unreasonable expectation that a convenience store clerk be able to discern whether every single ID presented to purchase alcohol is legit or not is bogus at best. There is a strong enough resemblance between the Murdaugh boys that making allowances for weight gain or loss, aging, hair style changes, etc, that it was a reasonable assumption that the boy with the other’s ID was indeed its owner. I bet Mallory Beach’s mom was just fine that her little angel was going out and partying on the water with those nice rich kids, consuming alcohol underage, until things went south. Then those bells in her head went KA-CHING!
Strong resemblance? At least four inches, at least forty pounds, bright red hair versus dirty blond – not even close. There were six kids in the boat. No point in trying to sully the families now, Parker’s has admitted guilt.

You are willing to make a vile accusation about a mother based on what? Will any amount of money be worth the death of a daughter who did absolutely nothing wrong?

Actually, it’s the law. And no amount of money would ever replace or be worth the life of one of my kid’s. People like you who are being so cruel to Mallory’s parents, like they are the ones who poured the alcohol down Paul’s throat, are the reason that courts/juries like to send messages with big amounts of cash.
Perhaps if her parent had kept herd on her better with regard to underage drinking and hanging with other kids who do the same, she would still have her daughter around. As it is, she did not and she suffered a loss because of it.
Those gratuitous remarks above re the Beach family and others are small-minded and just hateful. SHAME on you!
