I think I understand enough about ethos to know going full tilt on trolls because they leave mean comments with funny names above them is extremely weak and very unbecoming of a Marine.
Drunkle is entitled to his wrong opinions (just as much as we are entitled to laugh at them) but sitting at the keyboard with tears streaming down his face because someone cracks jokes at him with a fake name is just sad.
It always amazes me that people say you could not know unless you served. I did not. However, I come from a family that has served frequently. My Grandfather and Great Uncle were WWII Navy, both had to swim for their lives from a sinking ship, and my grandfather was stationed at Pearl Harbor on the day of the attack. My uncles served in Korea, one Army, one Navy. I grew up listening to their stories and talking to them about history and what it was like. I knew them, I loved them and I know what they stood for; so I do understand honorable men.

You read every comments section, how many people stick up for you? Maybe one person, IF you’re lucky… assuming it isn’t just you with an anonymous name? Why not ask them to post with their real names? Honestly, it’s probably easier to identify the few fans you have versus the crowd of detractors.
What are you going to do anyways, find out where we live or something? Show up at our houses? Call the cops? “Yes, 911? Someone was mean to me on the internet!”
The sign of an actually tough person is one who can recognize baseless ridicule as such and just ignore it. But it isn’t baseless, is it? And you can’t ignore it even if it was, can you?
The mission of the Marine Corps is not to pander to the fickle whims of a society that has aggressively disengaged itself from the Constitution for the sole benefit of a ridiculously small minority. Its mission is to defend, to its fullest, that Constitution in spite of those fickle and institutionally destructive whims. It is not a social experiment, and sadly those few who still heed the call will pay with their lives when the time comes, and those who are responsible will hide behind biased studies, unrealistic war gamming, and hope. None of thosev responsible will step forward at the time of reckoning.

Most of you will never understand the Marine mentality. I did not serve but worked with Marines for 5 years. And I thank God for them. They are, or at least were, an elite fighting force. When the Chairman of the JCOS declares the two biggest threats to America are Climate Change and Systemic Racism, while both Russia and China are sabre rattling very loudly, we are in some deep crap.
I know conservatives think climate change is a hoax and their opinion about it is almost solely based on the lust for cheap gas, but, you know, the flip side is ecological devastation, economic destabilization, and countries across the globe fighting each other for simple stuff like food or water.
I think it’s something the military should at least consider a threat.

The whimsical gyrations that society is impressing on the Marine Corps, driven by marginal groups and ideas, is out of balance with its Constitutional mandates. The imposition of these ideas will weaken the Marine Corps and unnecessarily kill many Marines in the process. PA is correct.

Why don’t we just make up a brigade of special snowflakes, trannies, whoever doesn’t want to conform to military standards. Provide them with great funding and training, then send them to war. To hear Joe Biden tell it, the Tranny Brigade would be the best one we have. If they go with all that training and equipment and kick ass, or they go with all the best and it turns out they can’t function because they are a group of individuals – either way would put a stop to all this arguing over who’s doing what pretty quickly, wouldn’t it?
Jack Hinton you must be a demon Rat , the former president did not order anyone to go into the capitol, but the weaponized FBI directed by Nancy Pelosi and the major of DC did with the hundreds of FBI infiltrators that were in the crow and initiated the walk to the capital. There were no attack, other than the capital police shooting rubber bullets and tear gas at the crowd before the FBI crow insiders begin to run over the Capitol. Yes, you will never understand unless you have been a Marine and live the cult life of a Marine, we are toxic masculine men that are willing to do what you Mr. Hinton probably not able to do. Kill kill Kill and keep trucking until the mission is done. All the social experiments the General mentioned are a detriment to our fighting capabilities which is the reason we exist.
