What’s his current condition? Will he have to press charges against these guys or will charges be filed without him pressing charges? Sounds like adult supervision is still needed at this home for this 19 year old and the other children there. This story leaves me with lots of questions….
My heart breaks for Trent. Why have no teens or parents been charged for their harassment and cruelty which apparently occurred numerous times? Are the police waiting on Trent’s family to press charges or is this another case of entitlement? It frankly sounds like Trent’s home situation was also very dysfunctional if he was living alone. Sad on all counts. Prayers for Trent’s recovery.
Resounding proof that hate crimes come directly from a persons heart regardless of skin color, sex, sexual orientation, religion etc. This is why violent crimes such as this need to be dealt with to the fullest extreme of the laws.

Lehrkamp’s mother (Jaymie Elizabeth Lehrkamp) died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems (according to her obit).
Then his father (Mark Lehrkamp) moved out of the home where he resided with Trent and his siblings in December of 2021 to live with his current girlfriend, Jamie Lee Linna.
Trent Lehrkamp is 19 years old and has NOT been diagnosed as autistic by a doctor, but he must have traits that resemble autism because many people assumed he was on the spectrum.
(For all I know, Trent hasn’t been diagnosed because his own Father hasn’t taken him to a proper doctor to know for sure).
So, in December 2021 Trent’s father Mark essentially abandons his child and takes ALL his siblings with him to live at his girlfriend’s (Jamie Lee Linna) house.
Trent has lived ALONE at this residence since his father moved out – taking his siblings with him.
That’s some pretty horrible parenting!
So I did some digging and according to a marriage announcement, Jamie Lee Linna married Benjamin Earl Burriss on Aug. 8 2009.
I looked at the FB page for Benjamin Earl Burriss and on September 8, 2021 he wishes his wife happy birthday and says “I love you baby.”
So Mark Lehrkamps wife dies “unexpectedly” on March 3, 2021 and moves in with his girlfriend Jamie in December 2021 even though Jamie’s husband is publicly saying “I love you” to Jamie only 3 months prior.
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there is something really odd about all this that hasn’t quite made it to the surface. Like maybe the victim is a masochist of some variety AND maybe to some degree on the spectrum – again not sure but it just has that flavor to it.
This viscous inaccurate slanderous “report” is cruel at a time when we want to help Trent. You do not have any true facts from family. I do not intend to defend myself on facebook. He was not neglected.
The information provided by Trent’s father is ambiguous at best.
Why didn’t he report his son had been abused two times prior to the incident?
If this young man does not have autism, what has he been formally diagnosed with OR has he ever been diagnosed with anything? All the signs point to there being an issue with him, and it actually seems like the family wants to hide this fact. Why is that? A little bit of guilt and indeed, neglect maybe?
What about all the money for the GOFUNDME that has raised over 100,000.00 dollars – is the family going to hand this over to a third party to be in charge of it FOR TRENT because it sure seems odd to me that all this money being raised is a little over the top. First, the hospital bills will not be due for some time. Second, it is my hope that the father HAD insurance on Trent knowing that he had issues and most likely cannot care for himself. Third, it seems like the homeowner of the abuse will more than likely be the one to pay his hospital bills. So my question is, who is going to be responsible in making sure that TRENT and TRENT ALONE gets this money that people have contributed to him?
And lastly, does anyone know where Trent was living? Was he living in his maternal grandmother’s house?
