Mr. Folks,
I would like to know if you will please address the issue of this call for a judicial reform in S.C. and discuss all the implications and ramifications that such a reform will have on the general S.C. populace, as well as what our A.G., solicitors and the various police departments are attempting to affect.

I write this as I am seeing an almost mirror image of this very same attempt of judicial reform by Prime Minister Netanyahu being made in Jerusalem as reported today on the PBS NewsHour (27/03/2023). The differences I am perceiving here is that Israeli citizens are protesting enmass as an assault on their democracy, while here in S.C., well, I don’t know if we are a state too ignorant to see the bigger picture and voice a collective response, or if we mere citizens are blind sheep willing to follow along because we are too compliant.

I wish to remain independent in matters of politics, but perhaps my family history and life experiences has clouded my vision and judgement to the effect I am sensing shades of Orwell’s Animal Farm. I hope I am altogether wrong but seek a clearer understanding of the issues at hand.
Thank you very much for your attention and kind considerations.
Respectively, Dr. Elizabeth J. Farkas
