This is coming across like a junior high school production of a Southern gothic drama.
Now with the court’s indulgence I will go hose down the quail cages and dust my gun wall, as one does on a Wednesday. Later I might sip a bourbon and contemplate how a kid named Buster turns out marginally better than one with a normal name.
With sufficient time, one can clean up and dispose of clothes and murder weapons. But, no matter how much time you have, you cannot erase recorded cell phone data. Piece by piece…
I firmly believe Cousin Eddie was the one who was tasked with getting rid of Maggie’s cellphone. That’s why the steps and car starting don’t match up to Alex. Eddie took that phone and threw it in the woods for Alex- because Alex told him to.
“At the time Maggie’s phone changed orientation for the last time, “it appears the phones were not together being moved by the same person because they are not (both) recording steps.”
Doesn’t mean more than one person was the shooter at all – in fact, it’s just more Pootlian “shared by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing”. Paul’s phone didn’t move because “Ol’Elick” didn’t move it. It remains to be seen what is on Maggie’s phone. Ol’Elick’s phone didn’t move because he left it in the car thinking it would help exonerate him. Ol’Elick is a sociopath, not stupid, he knows the phones can incriminate him but wasn’t clever (or fast) enough to get Paul’s and Maggie’s and make them disappear. He probably thought Maggie’s battery would die before they go around to finding it OR it might have thought it would help his “two shooter” ploy.
Toggling between FitsNews website Live Feed, FitsNews YouTube Live Stream, and Twitter during all trial days. Appreciate this coverage. Kudos to the FitsNews team!
Where can I find the lunchtime update that Jenn and Dylan did today ? I thought I caught something about DNA under Maggie’s fingernails that I hadn’t heard before ?
I’m wondering if voice recognition software has been/should be used to compare Alex’s voice to the voice in the background that has been identified as Alex. This software is more than 90% accurate.

Y’all are doing a jam up job of covering the trial. Hope you’re enjoying our lovely town!

Baffled why AM would delete even the 10:06pm 911 call.
This testimony will work well in the movie, the fat tech geek’s always the smartest guy in the room.

During the time there was no movement on his phone, possible he left his phone behind and it was not on him.
Suppressors require a non-transferable federal “tax stamp”. Night sights have no special requirements.
wonder if GSR is sophisticated enough to detect different types of weapons/ammunition fired?

Me too. Great concise coverage
Could y’all create a side by side by side timeline from the testimony from Lt. Dove from the cell phone data.
I just found a great one on Twitter. Are you on Twitter?
I am
Stop with the exclamation points. it’s unprofessional.
Elaine: You wanted to see me, Mr. Lippman?
Lippman: I was just going over the Jake Jarmel book and I understand you worked with him very closely.
Elaine: Yes, krhm, yes I did.
Lippman: And, anyway I was just reading your final edit, um, there seems to be an inordinate number of exclamation points.
Elaine: Well, I felt that the writing lacked certain emotion and intensity.
Lippman: Oh, “It was damp and chilly afternoon, so I decided to put on my sweatshirt!”
Elaine: Right, well…
Lippman: You put exclamation point after sweatshirt?
Elaine: That’s that’s correct, I-I felt that the character doesn’t like to be ch-ch-chilly…
Lippman: I see, “I pulled the lever on the machine, but the Clark bar didn’t come out!” Exclamation point?
Elaine: Well, yeah, you know how frustrating that can be when you keep putting quarters and quarters in to machine and then *prrt* nothing comes out…
Lippman: Get rid of the exclamation points…
Elaine: Ok, ok ok …
Lippman: I hate exclamation points…
