A video showing a disturbing physical altercation between two students at a Beaufort County, South Carolina middle school is under investigation, and charges are pending against one of the students, according to law enforcement.
The Beaufort County School District and Beaufort Police Department began looking into the horrifying incident at Lady’s Island Middle School on Thursday.

As depicted in the video, the larger student initiates the bullying by pushing the smaller student. When the smaller student attempts to leave, the larger student sends her back to the ground with a clothesline move to the face, with the smaller student yelling “Don’t! Don’t!”
The larger student tells the girl on the ground “I will hurt you!” and proceeds to kick her, saying “Don’t do it again!”
In a calm voice, the student on the ground asks “can I get up now, please?”
“I’ll stomp your bitch ass face in,” the larger student responds, to which the smaller student (still on the ground) replies, “OK. I’ll stop. Just please let me …”
The larger student cuts her off and says “You can go. BYE!”
Within two hours of the video being made public on Facebook, it had drawn more than 6,000 views and hundreds of comments.

The person who posted the video tagged the Beaufort chapter of Bikers Against Bullies U.S.A:
“This happened at Lady’s Island middle school yesterday. I don’t know who the kids are but this little girl did not deserve this. A friend who’s children go to this school reached out to me to see if y’all could do something or find out who the little girl is. This is absolutely disgusting that stuff like this happens. BIKERS AGAINST BULLIES U.S.A. BEAUFORT S.C. CHAPTER“
Beaufort Police Department Captain George Erdel said Friday afternoon the investigation into the incident is continuing and that charges are pending.
The principal of Lady’s Island Middle School alerted parents to the situation in an email that evening:
Good evening Lady’s Island Middle School Families,
This is Dr. Chavon Browne, principal of Lady’s Island Middle School. I am calling to let you know that a physical altercation involving two Lady’s Island Middle School students was reported to administration.
Law enforcement is investigating and the school is taking appropriate steps to ensure that this situation is handled according to the Beaufort County School District’s Student Code of Conduct-Progressive Discipline Plan.
We do not condone any acts of violence in our school and strive to provide a safe, productive learning environment for our students each day.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please reach out to school administrators Dr. Browne, Mr. Campbell, and/or Ms. Davis.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and have a good evening.
The video, which was posted on Facebook on Friday afternoon by a concerned citizen, depicts a larger student grabbing a smaller student by her ponytail saying “You don’t like when people do that to you, right? … So don’t do it again.”

This is the result of a steady stream of anti-white rhetoric that’s been going on in the country over the last 10 years or so. Young black children are being brought up to hate whites and to believe that whites are out to get them. Young black girls are encourage to be violent between themselves and that social interactions are all about power over others. Who knows? The perpetrator here might very well live in a household where women resolve their differences between each other by physical means. Or the men beat up on women “just because.”
We’re going to a very bad place in this world. And without a willingness to interrupt that, it’s only going to get worse.
That “black woman” is another student at the school. I’ve search for an update on this and found nothing. :( . The huge bully should have been arrested for assault and expelled from the school. .. No doubt the little girl was instead blamed for it all.

My generation was made to be the least racist people you could ever imagine. We were taught to extend our hands in friendship to others, to look past skin color and other differences, to be tolerant of others, to try and see the good in people.
But that’s harder and harder to do each and every day when I see stuff like this.

My deceased mother, a white woman, was on the cutting edge of Civil Rights activism in the 1960s, riding a bus to DC to hear Martin Luther King Jr’s “I have a Dream” speach, marching WITH King in Boston (me too, for that matter). She was utterly free of prejudice. But she once said that if society ever got to the point of a race war, your side would be chosen for you.
She was right, of course.
It seems like the video is missing context. The bigger has her hand on the smaller girl’s hair/back of her head telling her she would not like it if someone did that to her. This implies that the smaller girl did this to someone else in the school. My guess is the the bigger girls younger sister or cousin or friend. So the bigger girl was protecting them and stopping the original bully the smaller girl. My guess is bigger girl is eighth grander smaller girl is 6th grader maybe 7th or 8th grader. Then bigger girl reiterates to smaller girl not to ever do that again by slapping her to the floor and telling her she will hurt her next time. I did the same thing for my younger brother when I was in 8th grade and he was in 6th grade. He had a studering problem and another 6th grader who was a known bully would relentlessly bully him about it. It was so bad my younger brother would come home crying and be throughly embarrassed and etc. I did not realize it at the time how bad it was until one night at the dinner table he had a slight meltdown and explained what was going on to my parents and me and his even younger brother. This was back in the middle 1980’s and we grew up in a rougher part of inner city. Back then everyone knew how to take care of a bully. You punch them in the nose or face so hard that they never ever even consider bullying you or anyone else again. The very next day I did the same thing that bigger girl did. I beat the shit out of that kid. Gave him a huge black eye and a broken very bloody nose. I told him the same thing the bigger girl told her. You do it again to anyone and I will really fucking hurt you. He never bullied anyone again and learned his lesson. When the bully and my brother went to high school together they actually became pretty good friends and even played football and basketball together on the high school team. The bully learned to release his anger on the playing field and my brother learned to stand up for himself and his friends and release his anger about his stuttering on the playing field which is the appropriate place. That is how kids learn sometimes.
I knew before I even scrolled down to the comments that some sick apologist would invent a narrative in which the small white girl somehow deserved the violent treatment she suffered at the hands of a black girl far bigger than she.

I was in 6th grade when another girl pulled me by my hair. My sister just happened to be walking up and saw the girl holding me up by my pony tail so my sister grabbed her by the hair and pulled her up. The girl dropped her grip on my hair and my sister also said “how do you like it? does it feel good when someone grabs you up by the hair? don’t touch my sister again”. What my sister didn’t do, was push her, clothesline her down to the ground, or kick her.

Intimidation sometimes gets a message across succinctly where lecturing falls short. Impossible to really know what led to this, just speculating on context clues.
