Yesterday, this news outlet reported on a bizarre incident alleged to have taken place in a South Carolina courtroom.
Specifically, we reported that “a law clerk for a sitting South Carolina circuit court judge was reportedly escorted out of a Palmetto State courtroom by law enforcement officers.”
As we noted in our coverage, the law clerk in question was reportedly “on the computer” when the circuit court judge received “a phone call from the chief justice’s office.” During the ensuing conversation, the judge was reportedly told to “escort the clerk out and take the laptop away from (him).”
Crazy, right?
Since we published this information, very little clarity has emerged related to this situation.
So far, all we have been able to learn is that the clerk in question was reportedly working for S.C. circuit court judge Walton J. McLeod IV and that the alleged incident took place in the Lexington county court house – the epicenter of the Palmetto State’s eleventh judicial circuit.
We are continuing to dig on this situation, but hardly anyone is talking about what happened.
Stay tuned … we are continuing to work our network of sources in the hopes of gaining additional information for our readers.
