Posting will continue to be a bit lighter than usual between now and the end of the month as our founding editor Will Folks and his family spend some time vacationing on the coast of South Carolina.
Folks, his wife and six children are spending some time in North Litchfield, S.C. with extended family between now and June 30.
He will be (completely) back in the saddle beginning July 1.
In years past we would totally shut down the website during this two-week period, however such cord-cutting has proven infeasible of late.
Moreover, unplugging for two whole weeks wouldn’t be fair to our growing base of subscribers. Which reminds us: If you haven’t already decided to support this news outlet’s efforts to hold Palmetto State governments, officials and institutions accountable to citizens and taxpayers, please subscribe now.
Your support is what keeps us going … and what will fuel our future expansion plans.
[su_dominion_video_scb]Speaking of: We are in the process of what we hope will be a major upgrade to our user experience – one that will include more (better) content, a more diverse content mix as well as upgraded desktop and mobile designs.
We are also working on an app and podcast possibilities …
So stay tuned for more details on that in the weeks to come as we plot our growth strategy heading into 2020.
Whatever platform we are on, though, our commitment to advancing the Palmetto State’s marketplace of ideas remains unchanged. While this news outlet was created to express certain (often contrarian) views on matters of public interest within South Carolina, our primary purpose is to stimulate meaningful debate on a wide range of issues with the goal of making this state a better place to live, do business and raise families. As part of that effort, we will maintain an open microphone policy that allows any reader the opportunity to publish their views on any subject at any time – whether we agree with those views or not.
Or whether those views specifically challenge our reporting our call into question our editorial philosophy/ integrity.
So hit us up … and please, keep those cards and letters coming. Even though posting will be lighter than usual, we are still checking submissions on our tip line, on Twitter and on Facebook as well as any of the methods listed below over the next week.
