Florence SC Woman Arrested On Fraud Charge

A Florence County, South Carolina woman was arrested Friday morning on a fraud charge, according to detention center records.

Jennifer Halleman King, 44, of Florence, S.C. was charged with one count of breach of trust with fraudulent intent with a value of more than $5,000.

Until recently, King was associated with the Pee Dee Realtors Association, although it is not immediately clear whether the charge filed against her is related to her past association with that organization.

King was arrested shortly after 8:00 a.m. EDT on Friday morning and released on a personal recognizance bond at around 1:24 p.m. EDT the same day.

As with anyone accused of committing any crime, King (above) is considered innocent until proven guilty by our criminal justice system – or until such time as she may wish to enter a plea in connection with the charge filed against her.

UPDATE: According to a press release from the Florence police department, King turned herself in on the breach of trust charge, which “stems from allegations that (she) used Pee Dee Realtor Association funds for her personal use while employed by the association from November of 2017 to December of 2018.”
