Congrats To SC Supreme Court Justice John Few

And best wishes to his beautiful bride-to-be …

This news outlet has been very impressed of late with South Carolina supreme court justice John Few. We were not always fans of Few’s, but since his ascension to the Palmetto State’s highest court in February of 2016, the Anderson, S.C. native has been by far and away its most pro-free market voice.

Obviously, that is not a huge compliment given the company he is keeping – but we have been very pleased to see Few’s willingness to buck the majority of his colleagues nonetheless. This is especially true when it comes to rulings related to the public’s right to access public information.

On transparency issues, Few has been nothing short of a champion …

Anyway, our point today in addressing Few today has nothing to do with his day job … but is instead a point of personal privilege related to his life outside of the public eye.

According to our sources the dapper associate justice – regarded as one of the Palmetto State’s most eligible, high-profile bachelors – recently proposed to the talented and lovely Stephanie L. Yarbrough, an attorney in the Charleston, S.C. office of the Womble Bond Dickinson law firm.

And Yarbrough (below) said “yes.”

So … how did Few manage to pull off such a coup? Good question … perhaps hypnosis? Or maybe some sort of judicial edict we don’t know about was involved …

We are not sure … and may never be.

In all seriousness, though, congratulations to Few and best wishes to Yarbrough, his beautiful bride-to-be. We hope they experience every happiness as they prepare for their new life together.

In the brutal, bitter and often bare-knuckled political arena in which we operate, it is important to celebrate joyous announcements such as this one – just as we should all mourn personal tragedies (even when they befall those with whom we may fervently disagree).

Oh, and if we are ever able to determine what sort of sorcery Few employed to coax an affirmative answer from his beautiful new fiancée, we will be sure to pass that information along to all the other eligible bachelors out there.
