An 18-year-old Berkeley County, South Carolina man was arrested this week and charged in connection with a murder-for-hire scheme.
Aaron McKenzie Capers of Goose Creek, S.C. is facing with one count of solicitation to commit a felony. According to an affidavit accompanying the warrant for his arrest, in late March of this year he offered to pay $2,500 “for the completion of a felony; Murder.”
Capers was booked at the Hill-Finklea detention center in Berkeley County. His case will be prosecuted by the office of S.C. ninth circuit solicitor Scarlett Wilson.

As with anyone accused of committing any crime, Capers should be considered innocent until proven guilty as determined by a jury of his peers (or until such time as he issues a pleading in connection with his case).
