Charges have been filed in connection with the savage slaying of a young woman in Anderson County, South Carolina earlier this week.
Agents of the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) have arrested two men – 28-year-old Adam Don Lawless of Iva, S.C. and 19-year-old Aaron Joseph Kenyon of Anderson, S.C. – and filed multiple charges against them related to the death of 24-year-old Tabitha Nicole Duncan.
Duncan was brutally murdered in her home near East Broad Street in the small town of Iva on Monday. According to reporter Brandon LaVorgna of Fox Carolina, county coroner Greg Shore described the injuries she sustained as being “very violent in nature.”
We’re told that’s a charitable description of the scene …

Adding another layer of heartbreak to an already gruesome situation, officers responding to Duncan’s home found a two-year-old child inside the residence. Thankfully, the child was unharmed. Another one of Duncan’s children – a five-year-old – was not in the home at the time of the attack.
Lawless has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon with an obliterated serial number and drug possession. Kenyon has been charged with accessory to murder and drug possession.
Both men are currently being held at the Anderson County, S.C. detention center without bail, and are facing decades behind bars.
SLED investigated this case at the request of the Iva, S.C. police department. The case will be handled by S.C. tenth circuit solicitor David Wagner.
As with anyone accused of committing any crime, Lawless and Kenyon should be considered innocent until proven guilty by a jury of their peers (or until such time as they make a pleading in connection with the charges filed against them).
Obviously, our view as to what should befall them (or at least Lawless) at that point is no surprise …
