A third relative of the late James Boyd Chewning has been arrested in connection with his death last November in Saluda County, South Carolina.
Amber Nicole Trent, 26, of Saluda, S.C. was arrested by town police and charged with abuse or neglect of a vulnerable adult resulting in death – a felony that could land her behind bars for up to thirty years.
Trent was Chewning’s granddaughter. Her parents – 51-year-old Donald R. Chewning and 48-year-old Kathy Laine Chewning – have both already been charged with the same felony count related to James Chewning’s death.
Chewning was 79 years old when he died.

Trent was booked this week at the Saluda County detention center.
