Fathers’ Rights Group To March On #SCStateHouse

Rally planned for December 16 …

Fathers’ rights advocates are planning a march on the South Carolina State House next month to protest what they claim is a family court system that’s “skewed” against men.

Details of the march have yet to be released, but we’re told the gathering is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 16.  Organized by a national group which boasts 4,500 Palmetto State members, the rally is intended to encourage “men to step up and take their role as a father seriously.”

“We want men to continue fighting for their child even if the system is skewed against them from the beginning,” a draft press release announcing the forthcoming rally noted.

Event organizers say they wish to put the state’s family court system on notice that their network is “scrutinizing” judges – and the state lawmakers who appoint them – regarding family law and child custody cases.

Good …

We don’t have a dog in this fight, but we support advocacy groups who engage the process on behalf of their constituencies.  And ultimately, the more eyes that fall upon the Palmetto State’s court system – the better.

Stay tuned … if we get additional details related to this rally we will be sure to provide them to our readers.
