The Greenville, South Carolina Tea Party is scheduled to welcome S.C. lieutenant governor Kevin Bryant and State Senator Tom Davis at its next monthly meeting.
Bryant, a 2018 GOP gubernatorial candidate, is described by the group as “a local conservative favorite.”
He will introduce Davis, whom Tea Party chairman Pressley Stutts noted is “leading the liberty charge for us in the South Carolina Senate.”
“Tom fought valiantly against the gas tax for years,” Stutts said. “He is a champion of school choice and real education reform in our state. And as many of you know, Senator Davis is leading the charge for the responsible legalization of medical cannabis for patients in need.”
That’s true …
This website has consistently praised Davis for his advocacy on all of those issues, too. In fact we’re such a fan of the Lowcountry libertarian, we preemptively endorsed him when he was mulling a bid for governor next spring (Davis ultimately decided to remain in the State Senate for the foreseeable future).
The Greenville Tea Party will meet on Tuesday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. EST at Zen (924 South Main Street) in downtown Greenville. Bryant’s remarks are scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m., with Davis’ remarks following fifteen minutes thereafter.
