Lancaster SC Warrants Updated

Murder charge, two weapons charges filed against alleged killer …

Two days ago this news site reported on a fatal shooting that took place in Lancaster, South Carolina last week.

Three suspects – all of them black – were charged in connection with this incident, which left a 29-year-old, white Lancaster resident named Joel McLemore dead of a gunshot wound to the head.  The intial charges – filed in the immediate aftermath of the shooting – have since been updated by deputies in Lancaster County and by the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

The alleged triggerman in this shooting – Demarcus O. Foster, 29, of Lancaster, S.C. – has now been charged with murder, possession of a firearm during a violent crime and unlawful possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime.

Foster has a lengthy rap sheet dating back to 2007 …

What was Foster doing with a gun?

Exactly … violent criminals don’t obey gun laws, which remains one of the best reasons not to allow reflexive politicians to embark on a mass disarming of the American citizenry.  Well, that and the fact that doing so would violate one of our most basic constitutional liberties.

Anyway …

We’re still waiting to hear what police believe motivated the alleged killer in this situation, but sources familiar with the investigation tell us the victim is related to a local law enforcement officer (possibly one involved in the local war on drugs).

Stay tuned … if we receive any new or updated information on this case we will be sure to pass it along …

In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers go out to McLemore’s friends and family members as they mourn his death.
