The Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar is hosting a town hall forum this week in downtown Columbia, S.C. Its topic of discussion? “The legacy of the Confederacy and the impact of Confederate relics in South Carolina.”
On tap to discuss this issue is a diverse panel including state representative Cezar McKnight, professor Bobby Donaldson of the University of South Carolina, S.C. Secessionist Party chairman James Bessenger, Sons of Confederate Veterans commander Leland Summers and Benedict College professor Meegan Kane.
Here’s the flyer for the event, which is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. EDT this coming Thursday evening (September 28) at the University of South Carolina School of Law …

Props to the bar and its young lawyers group for hosting this important conversation – and for inviting representatives from all perspectives to participate.
That’s rare these days in our “all in” discourse …
