U.S. president Donald Trump’s reelection campaign is touting his “economic principles” via a new video clip that doubles as a storefront for “presidential medals” being sold by his campaign.
The video highlights Trump’s “Buy American, Hire American” and “Learn While You Earn” apprenticeships, focusing on a company called Medalcraft Mint, Inc. of Green Bay, Wisconsin that mints “presidential medals” being sold by the Trump reelection campaign.
“During the campaign, then candidate Donald Trump promised to bring back American manufacturing jobs,” said Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law and a senior advisor to the campaign. “President Trump is keeping that promise.”

A press release accompanying the video encourages viewers to visit Trump’s campaign store, where they can purchase these medals for $45.00 apiece.
Ah, #MAGAnomics …
Just what the tapped out American consumer needed right now …
In fairness to Trump, his early efforts to stimulate the American economy via the repeal of Obamacare and the passage of broad-based tax relief have been sabotaged by a “Republican” Congress that clearly has no interest in fulfilling the GOP’s central 2016 campaign pledges.
Of course Trump has been a wildly inconsistent messenger … and has in fact flip-flopped completely on some of his core campaign planks.
Bottom line? At this point, we’re not inclined to buy a Trump medal …
