Having trouble deciding whether you should pick Clemson University’s football team in its matchup this weekend against the Kent State Golden Flashes?
It’s a tough call, we know …
Clemson is the defending national champion and enters the game as the No. 5 ranked team in America. The Tigers won fourteen games last year (and another fourteen games the year before that).
Kent State? Fifth-year head coach Paul Haynes‘ team went 3-9 last season (and the season before that). In the Mid-American Conference.
Yeah …
In an effort to throw some much-needed drama into this matchup, oddsmakers in Las Vegas have made things interesting by installing head coach Dabo Swinney’s squad as a forty-point favorite at home on Saturday.
That’s right. Forty points, according to OddsShark.
Now who do you pick?
Good question …
While we have no doubts whatsoever about defensive coordinator Brent Venables‘ unit, Clemson’s offense enters 2017 without the services of NFL draft picks Mike Williams, Deshaun Watson, Wayne Gallman and Jordan Leggett.
That’s some serious firepower, people …
Watson in particular was a once-in-a-generation talent (although we’re not going to lie … the Tigers’ five-star recruit Trevor Lawrence looked pretty impressive in his 2017 high school debut last week).
So who do you pick? We’ll be making our #FITSPick for this game a little closer to kickoff (currently scheduled for 12:00 p.m. EDT Saturday at Death Valley). In the meantime, though, tell us which team you’d take – again, bearing in mind that oddsmakers have spotted the Golden Flashes the equivalent of five touchdowns, a field goal and a safety.
Which team would you bet on?
