MUSLIMS AGAINST TERROR?
In the aftermath of the latest bloody terrorist attack in Europe, some world leaders are finally becoming wise to the game and assigning blame where it has always belonged – radical Islamic terrorism.
Not surprisingly, this self-evident truth don’t mesh with the agenda of the mainstream media – which would have you believe the mere invocation of such a term qualifies as “Islamaphobic.”
What to do? Change the narrative …
In the video above, CNN reporter Becky Anderson is seen on the streets of downtown London with a group of demonstrators purporting to be sympathetic Muslims.
Critics who watched the clip claimed it was staged – another example of “Fake News.” In fact British conservative news personality Katie Hopkins blasted CNN for allegedly “scripting a narrative … (r)ight before your eyes.”
The network rebuked that allegation.
“This story is nonsense,” CNN said in a statement published by The Washington Examiner. “The group of demonstrators that was at the police cordon was being allowed through by officers so they could show their signs to the gathered media. The CNN crew along with other media present simply filmed them doing so.”
To be clear: We firmly believe most Muslims are decent people who wish to live, work and worship in peace. We also firmly believe the vast majority of Muslims oppose faith-based violence – and that their opposition is an important part of the narrative.
But at this point the actions of a murderous few are justifying concern as to the true beliefs of the many (and may be on the verge of justifying more than that).
We are truly treading into dangerous ground … but let’s not be foolish as to which religion is leading us there.
