OFF THE LIBERAL DEEP END …

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham is once again occupying the far left flank of the “Republican” ideological spectrum in Washington, D.C. – calling for a “bipartisan” deal to replace former U.S. president Barack Obama’s socialized medicine monstrosity.

We’re stuck as a party,” Graham told CNN.  “What I’d like to see is a bipartisan solution to replace Obamacare, not just a Republican solution.”

Seriously?

We’ve asked it before, we’ll ask it again: What was the point of electing Republicans again?

Graham’s comments came as GOP lawmakers in the U.S. House were trying a third time to pass some sort of partial repeal of Obama’s signature domestic “accomplishment.”

“Those people who can’t find insurance in the private sector can’t be just thrown over,” Graham said.

Really?  Last time we checked it was government’s intervention in the private sector that was eliminating options within the marketplace – making it harder for people to find care and sending costs skyrocketing.

What sort of “bipartisan solution” is going to undo that, we wonder?

Like many establishment “Republicans,” Graham has previously portrayed himself as a staunch opponent of Obamacare – even thought he refused to block it when he had the chance back in 2013.

Now that the GOP is out of excuses … its leaders still can’t get the job done.

Unfortunately Graham – known in Democratic circles as Obama’s “best GOP ally” – is not up for reelection in South Carolina until 2020.  Meaning South Carolinians are stuck with this sort of “representation” for the next three-and-a-half years.
