KEN GLASSON COULD FACE CHARGES …

Former Mount Pleasant, S.C. town councilman (and first congressional district candidate) Ken Glasson is in hot water after an alleged incident at a beach house on Seabrook Island earlier this month.

Details are sketchy at this point, but multiple sources have confirmed to us that the retired U.S. Marine colonel is under investigation based on reports stemming from a gathering of Wando High School students held at the beach house between May 30 and April 2.

Glasson and another divorced, middle-aged father were reportedly among the “chaperones” for this gathering.

Is there any way this ends well for the former politician?  Probably not.

“The police report on this one is a doozy,” one law enforcement source familiar with the situation told us.

According to our sources The (Charleston, S.C.) Post and Courier has more specific information on the situation but has been sitting on a story.

Glasson finished dead last in a nine-candidate field for the 2010 GOP primary for the first congressional district.  He later ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Mount Pleasant in 2013 and was bounced from county council in November 2015.

Since his defeat, Glasson has been working with a group called “Mount Pleasant United” in the hopes of winning back his seat through the creation of single-member districts in the town.

Sounds like that effort is about to be complicated …

UPDATE: Oh boy …
