MANY OF WHOM REFUSED TO REPEAL OBAMACARE …
There’s a great story up on BuzzFeed this week showcasing the hypocrisy of the America First Policies political action committee, which was formed with the stated goal of advancing the agenda of U.S. president Donald Trump in Washington, D.C.
You know, assuming anyone can pin that agenda down…
Anyway, this pro-Trump PAC is running $3 million worth of cookie cutter political ads in twelve “Republican” congressional districts across the country this month.
The subject? Health care – an issue Trump badly mishandled during his first hundred days in office.
“The 30-second spot and an accompanying social media push on Twitter portray all 12 lawmakers as steadfast supporters of a Trump-led effort to repeal and replace his predecessor’s health care program,” BuzzFeed’s Henry J. Gomez reported.
Take a look …

Were they really “steadfast” supporters of this bill, though?
No … in fact several of these lawmakers were actively opposed to the measure, which was pulled by U.S. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan after it became clear it lacked the votes to pass.
In other words they helped to defeat a bill they are now being praised for supporting.
Typical Washington, D.C. insider kabuki dancing, huh?
“Most of the 12 lawmakers were, at best, lukewarm on the health care bill that Trump and Speaker Paul Ryan scrapped last month,” Gomez’s report continues. “At least four were on record opposing the bill.”
That’s true. In fact three of the four were on the record opposing it for the wrong reasons.
Congressmen David Joyce and Mike Turner of Ohio and U.S. Rep. Rob Wittman of Virginia all came out against the partial repeal bill from the left – meaning they felt it cut too much from former president Barack Obama‘s socialized medicine monstrosity.
Another one of the lawmakers – Virginia’s Tom Garrett – opposed the bill from the right, meaning he felt it didn’t repeal enough of the controversial measure.
Nonetheless, all of these lawmakers are praised in identical television advertisements for “taking on special interests and keeping (their) promise to the voters to repeal Obamacare” and for “standing with President Trump to repeal Obamacare.”
What a joke …
We knew Trump’s administration was struggling to get its act together lately … now it looks as though those problems are extending to its political operation.
