THE UNITED STATES HAS NO RIGHT TO LECTURE ANY OTHER NATION ON STATE-SPONSORED MURDER …
U.S. president Donald Trump sparked a furor this week when he was grilled by Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly about his views on Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Wait … are we still seriously on this subject?
Apparently. Apparently the mainstream media (along with liberal financiers, military-industrial complex whores and Trump’s own United Nations ambassador) are dead set on launching a new Cold War with Russia. Never mind that our nation cannot afford such a conflict – which would thoroughly compromise our national security and prevent the two superpowers from forming a united front against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
We’re not saying Putin hasn’t been aggressive … he has: In his own backyard. Of course he was only aggressive in his own backyard because our nation launched a coup there, ousting a democratically-elected leader and replacing him with one of our puppets.
Putin has also been aggressive in attacking terrorists … while our leaders have been busy arming them and bowing to their financiers.
Anyway … Trump was asked by O’Reilly in the interview (which is scheduled to air on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. EST on Fox) if he respected Putin.
“I do respect him,” Trump responded. “Well, I respect a lot of people, but that doesn’t mean I’ll get along with them.”
O’Reilly pressed Trump – asking him why he respected Putin.
“He is the leader of his country,” Trump said. “I say it’s better to get along with Russia than not, and if Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS – which is a major fight – and the Islamic terrorism all over the world, that’s a good thing. Will I get along with him? I have no idea.”
“But he’s a killer though. Putin’s a killer,” O’Reilly countered.
“There are a lot of killers,” Trump said bluntly. “We’ve got a lot of killers. What, do you think our country is so innocent?”
Trump doesn’t always tell the truth, we get that … but he sure as hell did here.
Even the leftist satire-propagandists manning the Saturday Night Live (SNL) Weekend Update desk were forced to break from their incessant Trump demonization for a half-second and admit he had a point.
To be clear: America has absolutely no credibility or moral authority when it comes to lecturing other nations on the subject of state-sponsored murder.
Why not? Because we are killers, too.
Don’t get us wrong. In some cases the use of deadly force by our military or intelligence agencies has been entirely appropriate – like the 2011 raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan that killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. When terrorist leaders carry out attacks against America – or make definitive plans to attack America – they must be taken out.
In other cases, though, we have shed innocent blood – although we don’t care too much about that it would appear.
“Sometimes you hit innocent people,” U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham infamously said in discussing the nearly 5,000 people killed by American drones during the so-called “War on Terror.”

It’s nice to make believe that America’s hands are clean – that our soldiers, spies, assassins and drone operators are killing only “bad guys” as part of a noble effort to “keep us safe” and “make the world safe for democracy.” But such a view is ridiculously short-sighted on multiple levels – starting with the assumption that it is somehow our job (or our financial responsibility) to make the world safe for democracy in the first place. Or the assumption that bombing people isn’t going to make them want to turn around and bomb us right back.
Also, never forget what happened to the last American president who genuinely sought peace with the Russians.
Trump is right: Not only about America’s hypocrisy on state-sponsored murder, but also in arguing that America should partner with Russia in the fight against ISIS. This should be common sense, not cause for controversy.
In fact hasn’t the whole “Trump is a Russian puppet” narrative been thoroughly discredited … along with the “Fake News” media outlets that promoted it.
Apparently not …
