BRAD BROWNELL FLIPS OUT ON ROY WILLIAMS …
Clemson University‘s men’s basketball team hung with No. 14 North Carolina during a critical early season Atlantic Coast Conference hoops matchup on Tuesday night – but the Tigers ran out of gas during the overtime frame, falling 89-86.
After the game, Tigers’ head coach Brad Brownell vented his frustrations toward future Hall of Fame North Carolina head coach Roy Williams.
Most unprofessionally, we might add.

What got Brownell so upset? Neither he nor Williams discussed the matter in the immediate aftermath of the game, but Brownell later confirmed that he was upset because Tar Heel center Kennedy Meeks had taunted the Clemson bench at the end of the game.
Really? That’s it?
Unlike Brownell’s staggering overreaction, Meeks actions were not caught on camera.
We understand Brownell’s frustration. He’s now 0-9 against North Carolina, a team that enjoys an all-time 131-20 record against the Tigers (including a 58-0 home record). Also, this game was huge for both teams in terms of future positioning for the NCAA tournament.
Still … Brownell’s outburst strikes us as uncalled for and immature.
