CHRIS CORLEY ARRESTED IN AIKEN COUNTY …
A member of the S.C. House of Representatives was arrested early Tuesday following a domestic dispute.
S.C. Rep. Chris Corley – who was recently reelected to his second term in the S.C. House of Representatives – was arrested by Aiken County, S.C. sheriff’s deputies shortly after 1:00 a.m. EST on Tuesday morning.
He was booked in the Aiken County detention center and charged with first degree criminal domestic violence and “pointing/ presenting firearms at a person.”
Details of the incident were not immediately available.
Corley will likely be suspended by S.C. Speaker of the House Jay Lucas pending the outcome of the charges against him.
