SOUTHERN CHARM STAR WANTS TO “GET A LITTLE SIX PACK GOING”
Earlier this week we reported on Thomas Ravenel confirming his participation in a fourth season of the Bravo TV reality show Southern Charm.
That would seem to contradict recent reports that the show – which enjoyed its best-ever ratings this year owing to the emergence of Kathryn Dennis – would not be coming back in the spring after one of its co-stars and producers moving to Italy.
According to an audio recording obtained by FITSNews, though, Ravenel is moving full speed ahead with plans for a new season of Southern Charm.
Specifically, he wants to tone up his 54-year-old body.
“I’m doing a season four – I wanna lose this gut,” Ravenel tells an unidentified woman on the recording.
“I’m in pretty good shape – I got this persisting gut, I don’t know if it’s a beer gut or whatever it is – I need to get on a regimen,” he says.
Ravenel compliments the woman on her “phenomenal physique” and tells her he wants to “get a little six pack going.”
“The show starts in a couple weeks it’ll go for a couple months,” Ravenel said. “But I really wanna look good on this show and hopefully portray myself being a good father.”
Ravenel concludes the message by telling the woman he has “full custody of the kids,” referring to two-year-old Kensington Calhoun Ravenel and ten-month-old son St. Julien Rembert Ravenel (a.k.a. “Saint”).

Ravenel and Dennis have been embroiled in a bitter custody case this year. Dennis also spent a month in a rehab facility in California earlier this summer.
Ravenel was elected treasurer of South Carolina in 2006 and seemed in line for a promising political career. Unfortunately for him, everything unraveled when he was arrested on cocaine charges in 2007. He attempted a political comeback in 2014, but that bid flamed out spectacularly.
Nonetheless, Ravenel and Dennis – and their oft-toxic relationship – has been ratings gold for Bravo TV.
This website reported exclusively last July that Southern Charm would be renewed for a third season. We were also the first website to report on the rumors surrounding Dennis’ second pregnancy.
Long before that, we were the first website to report on the show itself, and our founding editor Will Folks – who is alternately credited/ blamed for introducing Ravenel and Dennis had a cameo on Southern Charm’s series premiere in the spring of 2014.
