WAS #DNCLEAKS AN “INSIDE JOB?”
Last month was a brutal one for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
On the eve of her party’s national convention, thousands of emails from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) were leaked – exposing a coordinated effort between party staffers and pliable members of the mainstream media to elevate Clinton’s candidacy (and destroy the candidacy of independent socialist U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont).
Sanders’ supporters – most of whom were in no mood to support Clinton to begin with – were livid.
In the aftermath of the embarrassing release (and to guard against impending damage from future leaks), Clinton’s campaign has blamed Russia for hacking the DNC.
This suggestion – which is currently being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) – has been denied by the Kremlin (and trolled by GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump).
It’s also revived questions about Clinton’s own email scandal – which was controversially put to bed last month when the FBI recommended she not be prosecuted for mishandling classified information.

So … who really hacked the Democratic National Committee?
There’s no shortage of theories out there, but an eminently plausible one has been offered up by William Binney.
Who is Binney? He’s a former National Security Agency (NSA) official who helped erect America’s spy state – prior to blowing the whistle on it in 2012.
“They’re storing everything they gather,” Binney told Wired magazine four years ago. “You can watch everybody all the time with data-mining.”
Dismissed at the time, Binney’s claims were vindicated the following year when NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden meticulously documented the true extent of the government’s spy state. Snowden’s revelations shook the public – but politicians in Washington, D.C. nonetheless reauthorized a modified version of mass domestic surveillance.
According to Binney, that means both the FBI and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) have maintained “direct access into the NSA database” – with “no oversight.”
What does this mean?
Easy: The mystery of the missing Clinton emails – and the source of the #DNCLeaks breach – are known to the federal government.
“If the FBI really wanted them they can go into that database and get them right now,” Binney told radio host Aaron Klein last week.
Asked by Klein if he believed the NSA had copies of all of Clinton’s emails, he responded in the affirmative.
“Yes. That would be my point,” he said. “They have them all and the FBI can get them right there.”

Of course Binney saved his biggest bombshell for last … namely his theory that Clinton’s digital drama is a direct result of her pissing off American spies, not Russian ones.
This issue was raised months ago in an article by John R. Schindler for The Observer – but now Binney is putting the pieces together.
“Hillary, according to an article published by the Observer in March of this year, has a problem with NSA because she compromised Gamma material,” he said. “Now that is the most sensitive material at NSA. And so there were a number of NSA officials complaining to the press or to the people who wrote the article that she did that. She lifted the material that was in her emails directly out of Gamma reporting. That is a direct compromise of the most sensitive material at the NSA. So she’s got a real problem there. So there are many people who have problems with what she has done in the past. So I don’t necessarily look at the Russians as the only one(s) who got into those emails.”
Wow …
Could America have another Snowden on its hands?
This website has been a consistent and unapologetic opponent of domestic spying … but we’re not going to conceal our delight at the possibility of America’s spy state exposing one of its most corrupt politicians.
