ADVENTURES IN PAYDAY LENDING …

The Palmetto State’s reputation as one of the dimmest bulbs in the nation remains intact … (no surprise there).

According to The Smoking Gun, a 58-year-old South Carolina man attempted to take out a payday loan for the expressed purpose of purchasing methamphetamine.

Grady Carson of Jonesville, S.C. went to a Carolina Title Loans office in Spartanburg, S.C. in an effort to secure a high-interest loan against his automobile.  While filling out paperwork, he allegedly told the loan officer he “needed the money to purchase meth.”

Here’s a look at the genius …

Loan officers called the cops, who arrived and detained Carson.  Upon searching him, police found “a glass container with a off white rock like substance inside.”

Hmmmm …

We’re not sure of the legality of this particular detention/ search … and obviously this website supports the legalization of all drugs (for both medical and recreational purposes).

Still … what a moron.
