NEW WOMEN, MULTIPLE LAWSUITS LOOMING …
Ricky Chastain – the embattled sheriff of Laurens County, S.C. – could soon be facing more than one sexting scandal. And his name is likely to appear in several legal cases stemming from the explosive revelations.
The married, Holy-rolling “Republican” law man – who made headlines years ago when he was busted impregnating a co-worker and driving her to Charlotte, N.C. for an abortion (in his patrol car, no less) – was caught earlier this year trading naughty messages with a Greenwood, S.C. woman.
From October 2015 to April of this year, Chastain and the woman allegedly exchanged more that 6,600 text messages – including hundreds of sexually-explicit photo messages. For those of you keeping score at home, that’s an average of three dozen texts a day – many of which were sent during working hours (a.k.a. taxpayer time).
Chastain has refused to address that component of the scandal – much to the chagrin of local media.
Now another woman is stepping forward with private messages allegedly exchanged between her and the sheriff – interactions in which she and Chastain discuss a variety of sex acts.
There’s also an interesting twist to this woman’s story – assuming she lets us tell the full length of it.
Beyond that, sources in Laurens tell us there are at least two looming lawsuits related to the Chastain sexting scandal – although neither suit names Chastain as a defendant. Still, both legal actions could push the case further into the limelight.
Chastain will face voters next month in his bid for another four-year term as sheriff.
Of interest? His “Republican” opponent, Donald E. Reynolds, is also dealing with a scandal, one involving allegations that he physically abused his ex-wife – and threatened her at gunpoint.
Quite a contest, huh?
