“REPUBLICAN” OPERATIVE ACCUSED OF RUNNING DRUG BUSINESS
A Phoenix “Republican” who raised money for U.S. Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake (and former U.S. Senator Jon Kyl) has been arrested along with her boyfriend and charged with running a drug manufacturing and distribution network out of her home.
Emily Pitha, 34, (above) and her boyfriend Christopher Hustrulid, 36, were busted by Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies this week after they signed for a package shipped from the Netherlands containing 250 grams of MDMA – raw ecstasy.
Executing a search warrant, deputies found stashes of LSD, marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin in the house as well as more than $7,000 in counterfeit bills. A marijuana grow room and methamphetamine laboratory were also discovered on the property.
Oh, deputies also found two kids -ages five and ten – who allegedly had “easy access to all of (the) drugs and materials, even the bomb-making materials that were located in the back with the meth lab.”
Hmmmm …
You know, aside from the part about the kids being around all this stuff … we really don’t have a problem with anything Pitha and Hustrulid were doing. Seriously … we’re free market libertarians, which means our view of the “War on Drugs” differs considerably from the mainstream.
Not surprisingly, McCain’s campaign wasted little time in firing Pitha.
“The campaign immediately terminated any relationship with Ms. Pitha upon learning of her alleged involvement in the operation,” a statement from a McCain spokesperson read.
